I made up this little poem and thought I'd share. It's just a little cheesy so...
beware!
It's amazing, the things you can do as a mom, like one handed baking, or cleaning, or raking. All the time we put in while everyone's taking.
The love that we give to all those in need. To be a good mom is hard work indeed!
The hours we spend just to clean up the toys, when in 5 seconds... it's ALL destroyed!
Holding
two babies while picking up blocks with my toes, and then tending to yet
ANOTHER runny nose.
Reading the same book over again, and over, and over, and over AGAIN!
Singing songs that make no sense and making up a silly story. In the life of a mom, it
never gets boring.
Playing a good game of chase never gets old but running in circles around the house makes me FEEL old!
Oh the clothes.....what to do about the clothes!!! I can't keep up with this girl and her changing wardrobe! First it's this, than it's that, than it's "mommy, I want to be a CAT!" then a dog and a princess, than it's a dancer! Oh my goodness, just give me a CHANCE here! Here comes the tude, and once she's dressed in whatever it is, she'll take it all off and spend the day NUDE!
Alone time.... what the heck is that?? Can someone please just hit me over the head with a BAT!
Dinner is a blast with the spitting and gagging, "Eat all your food" is all I keep nagging!
Oh... and bedtime is ALWAYS a delight, making sure there's no monsters in sight, then tucking them in and saying the prayers, and leaving the light on at the bottom of the stairs.
Would I give it all up, of course there's NO WAY! But wouldn't it be nice to be
someone else for a day!
It's amazing the role we take on as mom, it was chosen for us because Heavenly Father thinks "We're the BOMB!!!"
I'm totally cracking up at myself right now, but that pretty much sums up a day in the life of Kari! It's fun but exhausting, and I'm sure sounds familiar and I know my poem really couldn't be sillier!
I hope this doesn't come off as being negative. I think it's funny the things that go on in a day. I thought I'd make it sound silly and send it your way!
